Jackie Made… Crochet goods

Today I finally had some time to crochet… it has been forever and I am going thru major withdrawals.  I will post some pictures tomorrow when there is better light.

This is the one thing that drives me crazy with no electricity.  I love to crochet to finish out my day but I haven’t been able to without any electricity.  So each night I feel a little empty before going to bed.  I tried crocheting with candles and a flashlight but you just can’t get into intricate  patterns if you can’t see what you are doing.  Luckily today with all this rain and just enough light I was able to finish up a couple hats and going to finish up 2 coffee cup coozies for some people who ordered.  I am thankful they are all very patient with me.  I will have some picture up tomorrow.

Thanks for sticking around.

I should be getting my new home before October 14.  I am almost there!!  And will have lights!!!  I will be crocheting like a mad woman soon!!  So can’t wait!!!!!!

You can check out this new home and my new adventure on my BlueRoad Blog.

Long time no post

So sorry it seems like forever since my last post.  I moved at the end of July and we haven’t had electricity.  Hopefully by the end of the week I will be back to full functionality.  It is amazing how much one depends on electricity.  I crochet mostly at night and it isn’t so easy by candle light.  I did finally have complete withdrawal yesterday and crocheted a necklace for a fellow musician and started a new hat.  Nothing fancy because it seems very difficult to get in the crocheting groove when you can’t seem to find what you need. :/  But I have really enjoyed the time without modern conveniences.  I go out to eat and hang out at the library, play some music and socialize instead of being my hermit crocheting self.  I have a few projects I need to finish this next week so I will keep you updated.  I am also planning a new adventure you can check out on my other blog called BlueRoad.

More soon!

On my mind lately is my series of works I call BlueRoad.  I am going to be taking this to a larger degree starting in November when I will begin to live on the road with my boys (2 dogs, Poco and Nube,  and a cat, Randall), my Harley and myself.  I so can’t wait!  I hope you will join me on this journey along with my crocheting.

The purchase of my crochet items on Etsy will help me start this journey and a weekly vimeo video series of my life on BlueRoad.

BlueRoad is a series of multi-media recordings of rides on my Harley called Blue. These recordings not only record the sounds and sights of the road but my journey to finding my authentic self.

What I’ve Learned as a Female Biker

I’ve learned to respect my body and take up the space that is rightfully mine.
I’ve learned about myself, my fears, my dreams.
I’ve learned societal norms are not always right and definitely not for me.
I’ve learned independence and found my freedom.
I’ve learned of the discrimination of women riders by men, women and corporations.
I’ve learned I am not less of a woman because I ride
I feel like a woman because I ride.

Each trip has three parts:

Part 1:  Giving my thoughts and concerns to the wind.

Part 2:  Meditation.  Consisting of listening, feeling, and seeing.

Part 3:  Singing and sometimes dancing to express the feelings of the day.

I created two videos to start off the BlueRoad series to give you an idea why BlueRoad is important to me, where it came from and how it helps me express myself.
